Former singer of Chicago punk band The Busy Signals strikes out on her own for her 1st solo album. Together with producer Travis Ramin (The Fevers, Nikki Corvette, Tina and the Total Babes, Candygirl) and Matt Castore (Sub Pop recording artist) Ana Lucia has delivered 11 blistering tracks of classic Punk Rock-N-Roll.
Recorded at Geza X’s Satellite Park Studios by punk rock legend Paul Roessler (Screamers, 45 Grave, Twisted Roots) Ana Lucia’s album combines the Dangerhouse punk sound with the authentic new wave and power pop groups like Blondie and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Her attitude is perfect and the guitars always raging. On Watcher she is joined by Roessler on organ, providing his trademark 45 Grave sound of spooky intensity. Ana could easily have performed these songs at The Masque in ‘77
These are rare and out of print copies of the album on Ramo Records contain two extra cuts not on the download format!!! Available on black and clear vinyl. Comes with insert poster.
Includes unlimited streaming of Ana Lucia
via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.
I know it's an obscure reference, but the singer reminds me of Anneke van Giersbergen from the Gathering. The singer of Romero is a highlight of the band's sound, and the power-pop tunes are driven by her. Looking forward to future releases of this band. Bart
